Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Rahi app and rahiride.com. Using Rahi means accepting them. They're written to be read rather than to be impressive.
The important one first. Rahi helps you plan a ride. It does not ride it. Every distance, fuel range, arrival time and cost is an estimate, and road conditions in India can make any of them wrong. Your judgement on the road overrules the app, always.
Who can use Rahi
You need to be old enough to hold a valid licence for the vehicle you're riding, and you need to actually hold one. Rahi is not intended for anyone under 18.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@rahiride.com if you think someone else has access. You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app.
Using it sensibly
Don't use Rahi to break the law or endanger anyone. Specifically:
- Mount your phone. Don't operate it while riding.
- Don't use Rahi to follow, locate or monitor someone without their knowledge. Team rides are for people who chose to ride together.
- Don't attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to send anything unlawful over voice.
- Don't redistribute modified copies of the app. Install Rahi only from rahiride.com.
We can suspend an account that's being used this way.
What Rahi is not
- Not an emergency service. In an emergency call 112. The emergency numbers in the app are shortcuts to dialling, nothing more.
- Not a navigation guarantee. Road data comes from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap and can be out of date, wrong, or unaware that a road is closed, flooded or unsuitable for a motorcycle.
- Not a legal document store. Documents you keep in Rahi are your own copies. Whether any authority accepts them is entirely up to that authority — carry your originals.
- Not a tracking service. Location is shared only during a team ride and deleted afterwards. There is no history to recover.
Content you add
Your trips, bikes, documents and notes remain yours. We store them to run the app for you and make no other use of them. See the privacy policy for detail.
Other people's services
Rahi uses Google Maps Platform, Firebase, MET Norway for weather, and OpenStreetMap data. Their terms apply to their part of what you see, and we can't be responsible for their accuracy or availability.
Availability
Rahi is offered as it is. It's an early app, provided free, and it may be unavailable, may lose features, or may change. We don't promise it will be error-free or suit any particular ride.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss arising from your use of Rahi — including anything that happens on a ride planned with it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date above changes and the app will tell you. Continuing to use Rahi after that means accepting the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
