Every decision in Rahi is measured against one question: does this keep a rider's attention on the road, or take it away?
Gear on, phone mounted, then go
Rahi is built to be read at a glance from the bars. Everything that needs your hands happens before the engine starts.
On the road
112, two taps away
The national emergency number, highway patrol and the nearest hospitals, reachable from the ride screen without hunting through menus.
Breaks, paced to you
Rest reminders based on how long you've actually been riding. Most incidents on long rides are tiredness, not speed.
Warned before the ghat
Rain is told to you in advance, at the point on the route where it'll reach you — enough notice to stop and put on wets rather than be caught mid-corner.
Spoken directions
Turns announced out loud so a glance at the screen is optional. The next turn is legible at arm's length when you do look.
Nobody riding alone
On a team ride, a rider who drops back is visible to everyone else — the most common way a group loses someone is simply not noticing.
Ready at a check post
Documents to hand and expiry dates warned in advance, so a stop is a two-minute formality.
What we ask of you
An app can plan a ride. It cannot ride it.
- •Mount the phone, don't hold it. Everything in Rahi is designed to be read at a glance from a mount, and nothing in it is worth holding a phone at 80 km/h for.
- •Set up before you roll. Plan the trip, start the ride, then put your gloves on.
- •Helmet, always. Rahi routes you through some genuinely remote country. Help is far away out there.
- •Treat the estimates as estimates. Fuel range, arrival times and costs are calculations, not promises. Indian roads have opinions of their own.
- •Tell someone where you're going if you're riding alone, especially off the grid.
Safety by design
No background tracking, at all
Rahi cannot read your location when the app is closed — the permission is blocked outright. A trip planner does not need to know where you sleep.
Sharing that expires on its own
Team location is bounded by the ride. There's no setting to forget, no sharing that quietly continues, and no history for anyone to read later.
